Pilates Your Way

Fit For You

About Fit For You
My name is Alysa, I’d like to tell you a little bit about me! I have always lived a very active life with a passion for fitness. I grew up dancing competitively and continued on to Sacred Heart University where I earned a B.S in Psychology with a minor in Dance. I fell in love with pilates while at school and pursued my training after graduating in 2017. I am a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor in Mat and Reformer, with training in Total Barre and on the Stability Chair. In addition I have knowledge of basic athletic conditioning with plans to continue my education. I established Fit For You because I wanted to provide an affordable opportunity for people to practice pilates and get their bodies moving!
I truly believe that pilates is for everyone whether you are looking for an athletic workout or you are rehabbing/working with some injuries/limitations. I provide private and duet training geared towards individual needs and goals as well as in person class options. I will incorporate Pilates Mat, Reformer, and Barre in order to strengthen the body with emphasis on the core and proper body placement.
All training will aim to improve posture, balance, and flexibility as well as the mind-body connection.
Studio owner, Alysa McBergin, is a Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor, trained Barre and Stability Chair Instructor. Certified 305 Fitness Instructor. lululemon Ambassador.

Meet our Staff

Krissy grew up in Brookfield and currently lives in Newtown with her husband and their 3 children. She graduated from Boston College with a degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She runs a small business sewing bags in her home. When shes not sewing or chasing her kids around she's usually dancing! She has taken dance classes on and off for about 19 years and counting. Her love for dance and desire to get in shape drew her to barre about 4 years ago. She loves how it helps her get out of her head, tune into the music, and makes her feel stronger than she was when she walked in. Krissy is certified in the Barre Above and Musicality Method programs and is so thrilled to have the chance to move and grow at Fit For You with Alysa.

Alysa is Amazing! I have been wanting to try pilates for so long but could never find a place I was comfortable going to. I was so excited to find out Alysa offers personal one on one and small group training as well as FaceTime workouts! Her flexibility with scheduling, ability to meet individuals where they are physically, and her professional knowledge on Pilates and fitness makes me so comfortable having her instruct me with workouts! The workouts are fun and motivating and I feel great afterwards. If you are looking to become a healthier version of yourself do not hesitate to reach out to her, you will not be disappointed!

I have been working with Alysa since she started on this pilates/barre journey and all I can say is THANK YOU! Let's be honest, working out isn't always fun, but with Alysa IT IS! She listens to your wants and needs. She designs workouts that are challenging but achievable. She is extremely knowledgeable and constantly learning more to help her clients. I enjoyed pilates before, but now, I LOVE it. Thanks, girl!

Alysa is AMAZING! She is knowledgeable and determined to help in anyway she can! I have been working with Alysa since December. She helped me get back on track with exercising consistently! Every class Alysa teaches she makes fun and upbeat! While many people gained weight during quarantine, I was able to stay on track and not fall into weight gain! I have taken all of her classes! No two classes are the same! She now offers a 'Fit on Demand Channel' that allows you to watch any of her sessions at anytime! I highly recommend any of Alysa's classes or personal training services!! Thank you, Alysa for getting me back exercising!

Why Pilates?

Pilates is an effective form of exercise for all bodies and abilities! Pilates is a predominantly core-focused method of exercise.  The core is essentially the ‘powerhouse’ of your body. Focusing on the core has a variety of benefits including the prevention of injury and lessening of pain/discomfort for some individuals. Pilates reformer is a comfortable and effective way to rehab injuries/movement limitations . The reformer can also provide a very athletic workout with a variety of exercises including the use of the cardiotramp. The cardiotramp is a fun way to mix up your workout and get that heart rate up!

Pilates can:

Increase flexibility

Increase core strength

Promote better posture

Improve body awareness and mindfulness of movement

Improve balance, coordination, and stability

Improve performance of specific sport skills including golf, skiing, dance & more
